Beltane is the Celtic Sabbat (festival) that falls roughly half way between the Vernal Equinox and the Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, historically celebrating the very beginning of Summer when cows could be taken to summer pastures. Beltane was (and still can be) celebrated with community bonfires, feasting and floral decorations.
